Dr. Carmian Buiquy, OD
Optometric Physician
Dr. Buiquy, known as "Dr. B", graduated from the University of Washington in Seattle and received her Doctor of Optometry with honors from Marshall B. Ketchum University. She received clinical training in primary care and ocular disease at the University Eye Center in Los Angeles, Tucson Veteran Affairs Medical Center, and Walter Reed Military Medical Center.
Dr. Buiquy completed postdoctoral residency training in Cornea and Specialty Contact Lenses at Midwestern University, where she specialized in custom soft, corneal GP, orthokeratology, and scleral contact lenses for patients with advanced corneal diseases. She enjoys using contact lenses to reduce myopia progression and restore vision in patients with corneal scarring, keratoconus, and corneal transplants. She is recognized as a Scleral Lens Center of Excellence by Visionary Optics and works closely with Treehouse Eyes to provide best-in-class myopia management care.

Dr. Pherrah Gosnell, OD
Optometric Physician
Dr. Gosnell completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Washington in Seattle, and received her Doctor of Optometry from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Optometry. Her clinical training included rotations in pediatric optometry, contact lens, ocular disease, and low vision, which she completed at the Meredith W. Morgan Eye Center, the University Health Services Tang Center, Vandenberg Air Force Base, and American Lake VA hospital.
Dr. Gosnell tailors each exam to the patient’s individual needs. She strives to make each visit a thorough and enjoyable experience, and places top priority on making sure every patient has all of their questions answered and concerns addressed. Her goal is always to do what is best for the patient to achieve and maintain the best vision and eye health possible.

Dr. David Shin, OD
Optometric Physician
Dr. Shin received his undergraduate degree from Northwestern University and his Doctor of Optometry from Marshall B. Ketchum University, where he received 11 distinct awards for clinical excellence and community leadership.
He is board-certified by the National Board of Examiners and the American Board of Optometry, is a fellow of the Scleral Lens Society, and is an approved provider on the Keratoconus specialist list of the National Keratoconus Foundation, a distinction that no other optometrist in Washington state holds.
Dr. Shin is the medical director of Gig Harbor Eye Care. He specializes in advanced contact lenses for conditions such as keratoconus and corneal transplants. He is certified in many specialty contact lens technologies, including Euclid, NovaKone, Paragon, and WAVE. He is recognized as a Scleral Lens Center of Excellence by Visionary Optics and works closely with Treehouse Eyes to provide best-in-class myopia management care.
